BMW claims historic one-two at the 6 Hours of Spa

BMW M Team WRT delivered a memorable performance on home soil with a one-two finish at the 2026 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps.

The No. 20 BMW M Hybrid V8 of Robin Frijns, René Rast and Sheldon van der Linde took victory after 151 laps, finishing just 1.969 seconds ahead of the sister No. 15 car driven by Kevin Magnussen, Raffaele Marciello and Dries Vanthoor.

The result marked BMW’s first victory in the Hypercar category and its first win at the highest level of international endurance racing since 1999.

Ferrari completed the podium with the No. 50 499P of Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina and Nicklas Nielsen, only 2.622 seconds behind the winner.

More than 101,000 spectators attended the Belgian round of the FIA World Endurance Championship, making BMW’s breakthrough victory even more special in front of Team WRT’s home crowd.
